Guide to Shabbat Services
Saturday Morning Shabbat Services are always held at 10:30 am. Bar and Bat Mitzvah students lead the service many weeks of the year. Torah Study classes are held at 9:00 am and a Rebbe's Tisch follows the service.
Friday Evening Shabbat Services are offered in many different styles of worship. During the fall, winter, and spring, the usual schedule is listed below.
First Friday of the Month:
Alef - A Service of Holiness and Renewal: 7:30 pm in the Klein Center (Levy Great Hall)
A creative prayer service in which the congregation participates in singing with guitar, percussion instruments, and alternative readings based on the monthly theme.
Classical Reform Service: 7:30 pm in the Waller Chapel
An historic service led from the Sinai Edition of the Union Prayer Book with music from the Classical Age of Reform Judaism, performed by our professional choir.
Second Friday of the Month:
Family Service*: 7:00 pm in the Main Sanctuary.
Family Dinner and activities begin at 5:45 pm.
This service is led each month by a different grade of students from our Religious School, with music provided by our Children's Choir.

Regular Shabbat Service with Shir Chadash Choir: 7:30 pm in the Waller Chapel.
Mishkan T'filah (the newest prayer book of Reform Judaism) piano music, and the volunteer intergenerational Temple choir - Shir Chadash - are the hallmarks of this service.
Third Friday of the Month:
Regular Shabbat Service with piano and soloist: 7:30 pm in the Waller Chapel
Mishkan T'filah (the newest prayer book of Reform Judaism).
Fourth Friday of the Month:
Service of Song: 7:30 pm in the Waller Chapel
Rabbis' community-style Shabbat dinner takes place at 6:15 pm in the Klein Center (Levy Great Hall).
This service is led from Mishkan T'filah (the newest prayer book of Reform Judaism) and the congregation provides the singing, led by one of our rabbis. It features many songs, both familiar and a few that may be new to you.
